Call for Nominations: Editor of the NCME Book Series
NCME seeks nominees for the role of Editor, NCME Applications of Educational Measurement and Assessment Book Series, who will work with an Editorial Board, and will lead this initiative from April 2026 through April 2030 (four-year term).
The Publications Committee recommends that candidates have a generalist background in measurement and experience in publishing as an author and in an editorial role. The Editor will be responsible for working with the Editorial Board to solicit and review volume proposals, collaborate with volume Editors to develop plans for their book (define content, select authors), and monitor the preparation of the final manuscript.
Applications are due by January 10, 2026, and the new editor will be appointed by February 2026. The selected Editor will begin shadowing the current Editor through the remainder of her term. Please email nominations to Hong Jiao and Christopher Runyon, Co-Chairs, Publications Committee at ncmepubs@gmail.com.
Nominations should send a cover letter (up to two pages) explaining how the individual is qualified to perform the duties of Book Series Editor and should be accompanied by a Curriculum Vita. Self-nominations are welcome. For more information about the NCME Edited Book Series, please visit the website here.
We look forward to receiving applications from dedicated individuals eager to contribute to the legacy and future of this vital NCME book series.
