SUMMARY:Principles and Practices in Recently Established Score Scales for Medical Achievement Tests
DESCRIPTION:This webinar is from the Scaling\, Linking\, and Equating SIGIMIE. \n\n\n\nReporting scales are one of the most visible and widely used parts of a testing program. Many different criteria and methods can influence how they are designed\, sometimes in competing ways. The key is to bring principles and practices together—so the scales not only support valid score interpretations and uses\, but also help prevent misinterpretations and misuses. In this presentation\, we share how we integrated principles with practical decisions when establishing reporting scales for a battery of medical achievement tests. We’ll talk about the program’s purpose\, methodologies conducted\, challenges encountered\, and show how aligning principles with practice shaped the design and implementation of the scales. \n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\nContact\n\n\n\nJinghua Liu (jliu@nbome.org)

SUMMARY:2025 AIME-Con
DESCRIPTION:AIME-Con 2025\, “Innovation and Evidence: Shaping the Future of AI in Educational Measurement\,” was October 27–29 in Pittsburgh! \n\n\n\nThank you to all the attendees\, presenters\, and corporate partners who made this event a success. We appreciate the dedicated work of conference organizers Joshua Wilson (University of Delaware)\, Christopher Ormerod (Cambium Assessment)\, Maggie Beiting-Parrish (Federation of American Scientists) to bring AIME-Con 2025 to life! \n\n\n\nAIME-Con focused on how rigorous measurement standards and innovative AI applications can work together to transform education. With sessions spanning summative large-scale assessment\, formative classroom assessment\, automated feedback\, and informal learning tools\, this conference is dedicated to fostering both the advancement and responsible evaluation of AI in education. By gathering a diverse community of experts in AI\, measurement\, and education research and policy\, we encouraged forward-thinking development of AI technologies that are effective\, reliable\, and fair. Together\, we are building a collaborative space where innovation and evidence meet to enhance educational outcomes and shape the future of both educational measurement and measurement- and assessment-focused AI. \n\n\n\n\n\nAIME-Con 2025 Full Program PDF\n\n\n\n\n\nAIME-Con 2025 Proceedings\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn More About AIME-Con
